The Charamba Quintet is a project of collection and musical creation around the Azorean songbook led by José João Diniz Silva. Existing since 2001, he had several appearances and collaborations with several musicians and poets Azorean.

Sought in the early days, some peculiar musical instruments promoting the Azores, such as the "Viola da Terra", also introduced new sounds and avant-garde musical grammars around the Azorean songbook, beyond the creation of new songs.
